Frequently Asked Questions

The W76P is a complete starter bundle rather than a single device. In the box, you get the W70B base station, one W56H DECT handset, a USB charging cradle, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a belt clip and a power adapter. Everything needed to make and take calls arrives in one purchase, with no extra parts to source separately. The base station holds the SIP registration and stores a shared phonebook of up to 100 entries, while the handset gives staff wire-free calling from the moment it comes off charge. Hearing Aid Compatibility and a full-duplex speakerphone are included as standard.

Yealink rates the W76P at up to 50 metres indoors and up to 300 metres outdoors in ideal conditions. Real coverage depends on internal walls, steel shelving and floor construction, so a typical office, small retail unit or single-storey premises is comfortably served by one base station. Larger warehouses, multi-storey buildings and sites with thick partition walls usually call for repeaters or additional bases, which is worth mapping before ordering. Pulse can advise on layout where a DECT phone system in Ireland has to cover more than one floor, building or yard area.

The W76P on V0 to V3 hardware uses a 1460 mAh lithium-ion battery rated at up to 30 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours of standby in ideal conditions. V4 handsets use a 3 x 350 mAh pack with the same 30 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of standby. For most teams, that means several working days between charges under normal call volumes, and a busy reception or sales desk can run a full shift without returning the handset to its cradle. Charging is via the supplied USB cradle at DC 5 V/600 mA output.

The W76P handset is built to grow with the business, so you are not limited to the single handset supplied in the bundle. Extra W56H handsets register to the same base and share the phonebook stored on it, and each handset supports up to two simultaneous calls with hold, transfer, swap and three-way conferencing. Yealink lists the W70B as supporting up to 10 registered handsets, 10 SIP accounts and 8 concurrent calls. Confirm the configuration with Pulse against your current call volumes before adding users. Handsets update over the air, which keeps firmware management off your IT list.

Yes. The W76P is SIP-based, so it registers to hosted PBX, cloud PBX and on-premise IP platforms in the same way a desk phone does. Pulse supplies it alongside its own Hosted PBX and VoIP services and can provision the base station before it ships, so it arrives ready to connect on your network. Direct IP calling without a SIP proxy is also supported for simple point-to-point setups. If you are moving off analogue lines or an ageing system, the same conversation covers number porting and how many handsets each site needs.

Both bundles use the same W70B base station, so the real difference is in the handset. The W76P pairs it with the W56H, which has a 2.4-inch 240 x 320 colour screen, a 3.5 mm headset jack, keypad backlight and up to 30 hours of talk time, suitable for offices, retail floors, hotels and light warehouse use. The W79P pairs the same base with the ruggedised W59R, aimed at harsher environments where drop resistance, dust and water protection and alarm features matter. Teams moving between desks, meeting rooms and stockrooms are usually better served by the W76P on cost.

The W76P bundle is priced at €196.80. That figure covers the W70B base station together with one W56H handset, so the cost per user falls as further handsets are registered to the same base. Because the base holds the SIP registration, ongoing cost comes with the call plan rather than the hardware itself. Pulse operates from Park West in Dublin 12 and supplies across Ireland, so ask about pricing where several bases or handsets are being rolled out across multiple sites.
